Mississippi Assessment Program (MAP) Communications Toolkit

The MDE Office of Communications and Government Relations has created a Mississippi Assessment Program (MAP) Communications Toolkit to help educators introduce MAP to parents and to foster a dialogue about the value of annual assessments. The toolkit includes key messages, frequently asked questions, a fact sheet, and a sample letter to parents about the purpose of MAP. Schools are encouraged to share these materials with parents as soon as possible to help them become familiar with MAP before the start of the assessment period.
